BYLAWS OF
MISIÓN VIDA CRISTIANA

(A Texas Non - Profit Religious Corporation)

Article I

Name and Principle Office

The name of this Corporation is Misión Vida Cristiana. This Corporation will be further referred to in the Bylaws as the "Church". The Church office is presently located at 6304 Wilcab Rd, Austin, TX 78721.

The Church shall have full power and authority to change the principle office from one location to another.


Article II

Purpose
The purpose of this Church is the word “VIDA” or “LIFE”, based on the gospel John 14:6 “Jesus said to him; I am the way, and the truth, and the life; nobody comes to the father, if not for me.”

V – God’s vision and conviction gives us direction, and without vision there is confusion and division.
       To fulfill God’s justice and not that of men. (Matthew 3:15)

I – To intercede in prayer, requests, and invest time and effort in other as Moses, Esther and our Lord Jesus did.  (Ex 32:10-13,  Esther 4:15-17, and John 1:29)

D – To disciple and to send people to open other missions. (Matthew 28:18-20)

A – Application to obtain the results of our God, with fasting, prayer and reading the Word of God as good servants of the Almighty one.  (Matthew25:19-21)


Article III
Statement of Faith
We believe that there is only one God Father, creator of the skies and the earth, revealed in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Ephesians 4:5-6)

We believe in the complete scripture (Holy Bible) inspired by God, written by men, but revealed by the power of the Holy Spirit, for the perfection of any human being.  (2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:21)

We believe that it is necessary to confess our LORD Jesus Christ with our mouth and to believe in him in our heart for our salvation.  (Romans 10:9-12)

We believe in the baptism in water through immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19)

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the spiritual gifts.  (Acts 2:1-4 and 1 Corinthians 12:1-11)

Article IV
Affiliation
This Church is independent and maintains the right to govern its own affairs, independent of any denomination control. We are a Hispanic Evangelical Independent Non Denominational Church.

Article V
Membership
Section I: General
Membership in this Church shall consist of all persons who have met the requirements for membership.

Section II:  Requirements for Membership
1.  To have experimented salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
2.  To have experiment baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3.  To have accepted to comply with all the requirements in this legal document.

Section III: Expectations for members of the Church
1.    To live a life in devotion to the Lord.  (1st Peter 1:14-16)
2.     To be married in accordance to the Lord.  (This does not apply to members that are single)(1st Corinthians 6:9 and 7:2,10-11)
3.     To learn how to bring souls to Christ.  (Acts 8:4)
4.     To honor, respect, and support the Pastors.  (1st of Thessalonians 5:12-13 and Hebrews 13:17)
5.     To support the Church with tithes and offerings.  (Malachi 3:10 and Matthew 23:23)
6.     To attend services constantly and on time.  (Hebrews 10:25)
7.     To have reverence for the house of the Lord, being the Church.

Section IV:  Privileges of Members
1.    The member will be lectured with the pure message of the Word of God through the Pastor.  (Acts 20:27-28)
2.    The member will be visited by the Pastors in order to maintain communication inside and outside the church in the event that the member is in need.                Communication with the member can be in person or through phone calls or letters.
3.    The member will be allowed to take part in the activities of the Church
4.    The member will be allowed to serve in any of the departments of the Church as long as the member meets all the necessary requirements.  (1st of Timothy 3:8-13)

Section V: Discipline of Members
In the occurrence that a member shall be accused of an offense that in its nature affects that holy norms that the church makes an effort to maintain. The member will be called upon a committee which will be led by the Pastor.  (Matthew 18:15-17) (1st Corinthians 6:1-5)
The Purpose of these meeting will be to:
a)    To correct the wrongdoing.  (2nd Corinthians 7:8-9)
b)    To restore the offender.  (Galatians 6:1 and Matthew 6:14-15)
c)    To maintain the testimony of the Church.  (1st Timothy 3:7)
d)    To protect the other members of the Church.  (1st Corinthians 5:6-7)

Article VI
Meetings of Members
Business meetings of the members shall be held in the times, in the manner and the purposes set forth below:
1. An annual meeting of the Church shall be held at the beginning of the calendar year. The primary purpose of the meeting is to receive and adopt the         annual goals that the church would like to achieve in that year.
2.  Meetings will be held the last Sunday of every month for deacons and ushers, and every six weeks for all other departments.
3. The Church may change the dates of the annual or other scheduled meetings by notifying the members at least 7 days in advance.
4. A special meeting of the church may be called at any time by (a) the Pastor, (b) or in absence of the Pastor by any other officer of the Board of Directors.
5. Notification of members for business meetings may be given by any one of the following methods:
a. Announcement of the meeting in the Church Sunday or Wednesday service.
b. Oral announcement to the congregation at a Sunday or Wednesday service.

Article VII
Church Officers (Board of Directors of the Corporation)
Section I:
The officers of the Church will consist of a minimum of 8 persons. The officers will be appointed by the Pastor and the Board of Directors and will serve as many years as needed. Each officer will be an active/resident member of the Church.

Section II
a. The Pastor will serve as the President of the Corporation and will be the moderator of the Church.  He will lead the staff and have the responsibility to appoint and dismiss staff as needed.  He will oversee and maintain adequate and correct books and records of accounts of the corporation. He shall also oversee the reception and disbursement of funds.  
b. The Vice President will be elected by the Directors.  The Vice President main responsibility is to provide assistance to the president.
c. The Church Clerk will serve as the Secretary of the Corporation.
d. Other trustee officers shall be appointed by the pastor and approved by the church as needed.

Section III
Four member of the Board of Directors shall have the authority to sign contracts, purchase property, borrow money or grant liens to secure loans, write/cash checks, and approve any legal documents that are needed in the operation of the Church.  These members are the following.  These four members can be changed as the Church deems necessary.

Deyla Aguirre (Church Clerk)


Article VIII
Records and Reports
The Church will maintain the following records and reports:
1. Adequate and correct books and records of accounts (financial records).
2. Time and location of meetings.
3. Contribution statements for contributors.

Article IX
Church Assets
In the event that the Church is discontinued or the operations of the church come to an end, the assets of the church will become property of the state of Texas.

Article X
Corporate Responsibility
The property of this corporation is irrevocably dedicated to religious purposes, and no part of the net income or assets of this organization shall ever inure to the benefit of a Director, officers or member of the corporation, or to the benefit of any private individual.

Article XI
Amendments to the Bylaws
These By-Laws may be altered, amended, repealed or added to by an affirmative vote of not less than 75% of the Board of Directors.
